The NOAQ Boxwall – commercialized by Bluemont across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands – are the best mobile flood barriers to protect commercial properties and projects in urban areas. The ease of assembly and transport, long-lasting durability, and unmatched performance have made them barriers one of the most popular flood barriers used by companies worldwide.
You might already know that using sand bags for floods is the old-age practice to protect properties. When you pile sand bags, one on top of the other, they act as flood barriers and divert water away from the property instead of letting it through.
However, the deployment of sand bags is time and labour-consuming, and they are also not completely effective. What’s even more problematic is that you can only use them once.
NOAQ Boxwall is the big breakthrough we all needed to tackle these issues! As a modern and innovative solution for sandbagging, these mobile flood barriers make your life easier. You no longer have to worry about filling bags with sand when a flood hits your area.
The NOAQ Boxwall is a freestanding, mobile flood barrier that requires only a couple of people to deploy. These commercial flood barriers are ideal for urban environments – suitable for schools, municipalities, commercial properties, factories, and roadways. They stand up great on rough and even surfaces of asphalt or concrete. Moreover, Boxwalls anchor themselves using the weight of the water alone, fighting water with water!
This “book-end principle” technology has made it possible to build these flood barriers extremely light in weight. However, that doesn’t mean it’s weak. We have tested our NOAQ Boxwall against flash floods, and it remained steady and stable throughout.
Currently, this flood protection barrier is available in two models. The NOAQ BW52, also identified as the 500mm (0.5m) unit, weighs only 6.2kg. The NOAQ BW102, the 1000mm (1 meter) unit, weighs 15.2kg.
In addition to being lightweight, these mobile flood barriers are faster and quicker than sand bags at work. You can transport them easily to the desired location and start building a temporary flood protection wall by fixing the units together.
You can also use the +/-3° flexible couplings to create curves and bends wherever necessary. Use ‘corner units’ to create sharp corners, and you can form a 90° corner using 3x corner units.
Cleaning is no-brainer either, unlike sand bags that become a huge mess after floods. All you have to do is wash the units using a garden hose, dry them, stack each unit on top of the other, and store them!
As you will see in the video below, just two people can set up a 100m long flood barrier in under 25 minutes using these NOAQ units! They are better than sand bags for floods in every way!
